last week, myself + jefferson and jane had the honor + absolute pleasure of attending the new orleans launch party of The SoGood, which is a network of artists, makers, and entrepreneurs whose skills, art, goods, and ideas serve one purpose: to make life SoGood. genius!
the party was an total hit, featuring festive ginger margaritas from shrub & co., delicious bites from goodeggs nola, and the most refreshing snoballs from imperial woodpecker! it was so nice to be surrounded by old friends and new faces, all inspiringly creative. i finally met the grand dame of interior design here in new orleans (and worldwide!), gerrie bremmerman. i am amazed by her verve, style, and her absolutely impeccable taste. she is a gem, and meeting her reminded me why i’m doing this in the first place!
in addition to meeting new people, i got to hang out with some great old ones as well – above is a picture of myself along with a former co-worker of mine from the awesomely stylish malachite home, alyssa brown.
in other news….
i’m already counting down the days til we go with some friends to my family’s farm outside of town this weekend. in need of some rest, relaxation, pooltime, and home cooking! plan on firing up the grill for some of this deliciousness: yogurt-marinated grilled chicken….
to be paired with my all-time favorite affordable rose!
meanwhile, i’ve got this perfect kantha throw on the brain:
and please, all of you, hit up this VERY nice west elm lighting sale before it’s too late! 20% off all lighting, yes please. just picked up these two goodies:
